Our Commitment
Laurel Canyon Car Wash wants everyone to be able to use our website, including people who browse with a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, enlarge text, or rely on captions. We are working to make this site straightforward to use for as many people as possible.
The Standard We Aim For
We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, as our technical benchmark. We describe Level AA as a goal we work toward rather than a status we claim. Accessibility is not a one-time project, and we do not claim that this site is fully conformant or free of barriers.
What We Have Done
Accessibility work completed on this site includes:
- A “skip to main content” link so keyboard users can bypass the navigation
- Page landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer) so screen reader users can move between regions
- A visible focus indicator on links, buttons, and form fields
- Labels on every form field, with required fields identified
- Descriptive alternative text for photographs of our shop, crew, and services
- A title on the embedded map so its purpose is announced
- Frequently Asked Questions built with native expandable elements that work without JavaScript
- Pricing tabs that can be operated with the arrow keys and announce which tab is selected
- Respect for the “reduce motion” setting in your operating system
- Text and background colors checked against WCAG AA contrast ratios
- A page structure that uses real headings in a logical order
- A fallback so the page still displays if JavaScript is unavailable
Known Limitations
We want to be straightforward about what we are still working on:
- Photo gallery. Our gallery images have descriptive text, but some photographs convey atmosphere that a short description cannot fully capture.
- Third-party content. The embedded Google Map is provided by Google, and we do not control its internal accessibility. Our full street address and phone number are written out in text nearby, and we are glad to give directions by phone.
- Ongoing testing. We have not yet completed formal testing with every combination of assistive technology, browser, and device.

Call us at (818) 495-9322 during business hours and we will walk you through wash packages, current pricing, membership options, detail services, hours, or directions. You never need to use this website to buy a wash or join a membership.

We review accessibility when we make changes to this website, and we treat problems reported by customers as a priority. This statement is updated as our work continues.
